An inventive spirit and vigour, hard work and thrift – that’s the Baden-Württembergers’ recipe for success. That may sound like just a slogan, but these are nonetheless the hallmarks of the citizens of Württemberg-Hohenzollern, Württemberg-Baden and Baden, united to form a federal state on 25th May 1952. Today the third largest federal state is one of the top exporters in the Federal Republic of Germany. Baden-Württemberg has made a name for itself with high-tech, the automobile industry and as the second largest wine-growing state in the country.

And that’s not all - Baden-Württemberg also has a lot to offer on the cultural front. For example, the state capital, Stuttgart, boasts a famous ballet company, whilst numerous universities and other educational institutions are to be found throughout Baden-Württemberg. This federal state is also an attractive holiday destination. הגדלה (© dpa)
Many spa resorts, interesting cities and the charms of the landscape attract thousands of tourists every year. Baden-Württemberg is one of the key pillars sustaining the Federal Republic of Germany, thanks to the region’s stable social climate and solidly entrenched political structures.
